A Lasting Gift: The Morgans’ Endowed Scholarship

With an abiding appreciation for his alma mater, Mr. Eric Morgan ’62 and his wife, Linda, recognized the importance of higher education and sought to make a lasting impact by creating an endowed scholarship at Barton College. Growing up and living in rural Franklin County, the Morgans understand the need to support students who aspire to earn a college degree, particularly in the field of education, where both Eric and Linda dedicated their entire careers as educators.

The Morgans live in Louisburg and Eric still tends to the family farming business. As active members of the Bulldog Club, they attend many sporting events throughout the year.

“The environment of a small liberal arts college supports a nurturing experience for today’s students,” Eric shares. “Linda and I chose to establish this scholarship with hopes to help make a difference in whether a student attends college or not. We can think of no better investment than a four-year college education.”
