Love the Symphony 2025

On February 14, the Barton College/Wilson Symphony Orchestra hosted the 33rd Annual Love the Symphony dinner showcased the extraordinary talent of soloist Caleb Skinner, under the direction of guest conductor and violinist Christopher Ellis. The evening was filled with beautiful music, including the closing piece “What the World Needs Now Is Love” where Caleb was joined by the Barton Choir. Guests also enjoyed delicious hor d’oeuvres and plated dinner catered this year by Scarborough Fare Catering.

Special thanks to the Symphony Board of Directors, led by President Bankston Lewis, and the Concert Planning Committee, chaired by Jessica Satterfield, for their leadership and dedication. We are especially grateful to our exclusive primary sponsor, Truist, for underwriting the catering, and to Windham Distributing Company for their continued support in memory of J.T. and Ebbie Windham. Finally, heartfelt thanks to the Barton College faculty, staff, and student ambassadors who helped make the evening a success.

Finally, this event would not be possible without the patrons. For those in attendance, thank you for spending your Valentine’s evening with us, and for your support! Be sure to mark your calendars and join us next year, Saturday, February 14, 2026.

And, you don’t have to wait a whole year to enjoy the Barton College/Wilson Symphony Orchestra. Our final concert of this academic year will be held this coming Sunday, April 13, at 3pm in the Kennedy Family Theatre on campus. Advance online seat reservations are strongly encouraged. Tickets are $15 per person and may be purchased at https://www.barton.edu/cultural-arts/symphony/spring-concert.
