Barton College Set to Host Second Giving Days from March 12-14

WILSON, N.C. –  Barton College is excited to announce its second annual Giving Days, themed “Illuminate Today, Ignite the Future,” taking place from Tuesday, March 12, through Thursday, March 14. This three-day fundraising event will unite the Barton community, including alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends, with a goal of raising $200,000 from 400 donors.

During these designated days, the Barton community will rally to raise funds for The Fund for Barton (unrestricted dollars), the General Scholarship Fund, and Barton’s four schools. Additionally, supporters have the opportunity to designate their gifts to various funds and areas of need that align with the Core Values at Barton College. Early giving has already begun, and donations can be made on the official Giving Days platform.

To maximize the impact of contributions, this year’s Giving Days feature generous matching gifts, exciting challenges, and engaging events. A Happy Hour Kickoff Celebration is scheduled for faculty and staff ambassadors on Monday, March 11, and a Blueprint philanthropy event for students will be hosted on Wednesday, March 13.

“Investing in Barton College during Giving Days isn’t just about supporting our current students,” says Katie Thomason, director of development and alumni engagement. “It’s about nurturing the very foundation upon which future generations will build their dreams. Every contribution paves the way for current and future students to realize their potential, shaping not only their own futures but also the world they will one day lead. Your support during Giving Days is a true testament that you believe in Barton College – from our students, faculty and administrators, and even to the future of the Wilson community. Choose your area(s) of support and help ignite endless possibilities for Barton College.”
